We are a family of short people, who have worked hard over the past few years to build ourselves a new home in "the Shire"

Frames go up
After the slab pouring on Monday, the formwork came off on Tuedsay and the builders started preparing to build the frames for the upstairs rooms. We were amazed to see most of the frames for the upstairs walls completed by the end of the week (24th May), especially given all the angles - not many 90 degree corners here!
The bedrooms are taking shape...And we could admire our new balconies.Downstairs was taking shape too!with the detailed curve in the brickwork at the bottom of the stairs, and our "open" column at the end of the Kitchen Bench.
Having lived in "the Shire" almost our entire lives, we have been tirelessly planning our humble abode for over 5 years now. We previously lived at this location between 1984 and 1992, and have been captured by the mild climate and sensational northerly aspect across the North West Arm of the Hacking River.
We hope through this blogsite our Friends and Family can watch our progress as we enter the final stages of turning our dream into a home.
This blogsite is developed using an iMac PowerPC G5... Gotta love the Mac; it just works!
