Pool Shell
Today the concrete pool shell was poured. The guys all went to great lengths not to damage the existing construction on the house. This is how it looked from our Bedroom balcony:And here's the result:
The tubes sticking out of the wall are for the lights, return water and blowers for the spa seat:
After curing for a few more weeks, the interior of the pool will then be finished with black pebbles.
This is how it looks from inside the family room:
And this will be the view when you are swimming in the pool (minus the scaffolding of course, but you can see here how much lower the new boatshed sits compared to the old one):
Having lived in "the Shire" almost our entire lives, we have been tirelessly planning our humble abode for over 5 years now. We previously lived at this location between 1984 and 1992, and have been captured by the mild climate and sensational northerly aspect across the North West Arm of the Hacking River.
We hope through this blogsite our Friends and Family can watch our progress as we enter the final stages of turning our dream into a home.
This blogsite is developed using an iMac PowerPC G5... Gotta love the Mac; it just works!
